SENA (NATIONAL TRAINING SERVICE, COLOMBIA)

Problem:

Designated as the Colombian government’s official training institution, SENA was established in 1957 as a joint initiative of workers, industry owners and the Catholic Church, with support from the Organización Internacional del Trabajo (OIT) – the International Workers Organization. Tasked with achieving major social and economic goals for the Colombian nation.

Solution

  •  Taught 75 students leadership development and industry specific English to prepare them for the global workforce

  • Designed and facilitated the “Young Women’s Empowerment Circle” a space for women in the campus community to converse and strategize about solutions to current issues and explore their full potential.
